Past Power Projects

Here are some ways I’ve tapped into power for change.

Public Speaking & Workshop Facilitation

Throughout my career, I’ve always valued the POWER of word to CONNECT, EMPOWER, INSPIRE, and LEAD. Public speaking and leading workshops give me the opportunity to break down complex issues into strategies for growth and transformation. My workshops are always encouraging, interactive, energetic and intentional. At the end of our time together, you will feel POWERFUL and FOCUSED on making an impact! Let’s CONNECT and plan your next workshop!

Family Engagement Redesign

While working in a large district, I saw a need to engage families as partners in decision-making to co-create policies and processes. So, I developed a response to this need! Ask me about the Parent Advisory Council and let’s talk about creating community networks for positive change!

Curriculum Design

While in the classroom, I saw a need to design a curriculum for my students that was engaging and exposed them to activities like karate, chess, dance, tennis, robotics and more! So, I created a response to this need! Ask me about ‘Literacy &’ and let’s talk about designing curriculum.

Supporting School & District Leaders

While working in a large district, I saw a need to empower school leaders to design family engagement action plans and engage teams so they didn’t have to lead alone. So, I created a response to this need! Ask me about Family Engagement Leads and let’s talk about designing professional development workshops.

School & District Collaborative Teams

While working in a large district, I saw a need to empower all stakeholders to work together to engage families in student learning. So, I created a response to this need! Ask me about Family Engagement Teams and let’s talk about designing and convening effective work teams!

Intentional Spending

While working in a large district, I saw a need to create a system to ensure federal family engagement funds were spent equitably to support family learning. So, I created a response to this need! Ask me about the federal funds spending process and let’s make sure your services are aligned with federal spending guidelines.

Teaching has always been a foundation for the work I do. In this image, my fourth grade students spray me with water as an award for winning a school-wide competition. While I didn’t love being sprayed with water, I loved seeing my students win and achieve!
